BMP files - for Windows users, available in the four following sizes:
* 1280 x 1024
* 1024 x 768
* 800 x 600
* 640 x 480
JPG files for Mac users and Windows users who prefer to use their 'active desktop' settings, available in the four following sizes:
* 1280 x 1024
* 1024 x 768
* 800 x 600
* 640 x 480
Right-click on the correct sized* wallpaper link.
Choose the option 'Save target as...' (Microsoft) 'Save link as...' (Netscape) and save it to a directory/folder you will remember.
When this has been done, then minimise all your windows, right-click on an empty area of the desktop and a pop-up menu should appear. Left-click on 'Properties. Under 'Background' tab, there is a list titled 'Wallpaper', click on the 'Browse' button, locate the file you downloaded, select it and click OK.
Instructions for Mac users...
Ctrl-click on the correct sized desktop-picture link. Choose the option 'download link to disk' and save the file to place you will remember. Open the Appearance control panel and select the Desktop tab.
Drag the image on top of the control panel and click the Set Desktop button.
*If you want to find out how big your desktop is,minimise all your windows, right click on an empty area of the desktop and a pop-up menu should appear. Select 'Properties' and a box will appear with tabs along the top. Choose the 'Settings' tab - there should be a small box that says ' screen area' - this tells you how big your screen resolution has been set to.
